We’ve got power ballads (you know the type where you close your eyes, clench your fist together and pull your arm close to your body), we have PowerPoint (we’ve all been there haven’t we?) and Power Rangers (although I’ve never watched it) but what about power words? Some of you will have noticed that power words have become a running theme throughout the Agent twitter feed of late.*
So what are power words I hear you ask? They are words that grab the attention of your audience. They make them sit up and take notice. Power words with provigil help you to communicate your ideas with greater clarity and impact. And most importantly, power words convince your audience to take action. Certainly something to consider next time you write that all important email, would you not say?
There are certain power words that hold more sway and influence over our decision-making process compared to others. Research by Yale University has highlighted that some words have much more impact than others. I bet you’re sat guessing what these all-important power words are now, aren’t you?
Well, you might be surprised to find that these “power words” don’t seem … well, all that powerful. In fact, they seem quite simple. Deep breath and here we go:
You – This is consistently the number one power word
