Operation Beaconport: Agent develops new website and portal for victims and survivors of child sexual abuse and exploitation
IAmReady, a new website designed by Agent, has launched to help victims and survivors of child sexual abuse and exploitation understand their options, access information and find relevant support.
We’re extremely proud to have led the development of the website, portal and brand identity for IAmReady, working closely with victims and survivors, police and partner organisations throughout the project.
Following extensive engagement and input from victims and survivors, police officers, staff, support organisations and other stakeholders we recommended that a portal was required to help users navigate the various options available to them. This collaborative approach ensured the resulting experience is accessible, trauma-informed and centred around the needs of the people it is designed to support.
A clear place to start
For victims and survivors, understanding what options may be available following a previously closed investigation can be complex. IAmReady provides them with a clear place to start.
The website brings consistent, trauma-informed and accessible information together in one place. By answering a series of carefully designed questions, users are directed towards the information, review options and support most relevant to their circumstances.
This could include Operation Beaconport, The Child Sexual Abuse Review Panel (CSARP), Victims’ Right to Review (VRR), information about reporting abuse to the police and specialist support services.
The website has also been designed to let people move through the information at their own pace, with the option to save their progress and return when they feel ready.

Supporting Operation Beaconport
IAmReady has launched alongside Operation Beaconport, a national policing operation established following Baroness Casey’s National Audit into group-based child sexual abuse and exploitation.
Led by the National Crime Agency, the operation is reviewing previously closed investigations into group-based child sexual abuse and exploitation across England and Wales against nationally agreed criteria.
IAmReady provides users with information about Operation Beaconport and enables victims and survivors to submit details about a previously closed investigation and set their preferences for contact.
Information submitted through the portal is reviewed by specially trained officers, who can consider it alongside information already provided by police forces to help identify potential lines of enquiry.
Collaboration is key
We’re proud to have delivered the project from its earliest stages through to launch, bringing together expertise from across our strategy, creative, digital, communications and project management teams.
From the brand and website to the portal and content, we focused on making the experience clear and sensitive to the needs of victims and survivors.
That meant listening carefully to those with lived experience, testing and refining the process, and ensuring that people can easily access information, understand their options and find appropriate support.
The result is a website and portal designed around the needs of victims and survivors – clear and accessible, without unnecessary complexity or jargon, treating every interaction with the care and sensitivity this subject demands.

Lorna Young, Head of Strategy at Agent, said:
“We’re extremely proud to have been part of this important project and, most importantly, of what the launch of IAmReady means for victims and survivors.
Engaging with victims and survivors, alongside police and partner organisations, was fundamental to this project.
Their lived experience has helped us understand what people really need from IAmReady and shaped the decisions we made throughout the process.”
Greg Mitchell, Senior Creative at Agent, said:
“We’ve taken great care to create something that is accessible, sensitive and genuinely shaped around the people it is designed to support.
Every creative decision was made with the needs of victims and survivors in mind, helping make potentially complex information easier to navigate while treating the subject with the care and sensitivity it deserves.
We hope IAmReady makes it easier for victims and survivors to find the information, options and support they need.”
