Content & Communications Executive

Campaigns and Communications

We’re looking for a super-proactive, personable and creative Content & Communications Executive to join our growing integrated agency.

Hello!

This is Paul, Agent’s CEO.

Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to have a look at this opportunity to work with us at Agent.

Like any big decisions in life, it’s important to have all the information at hand to help make sure the job choice you make is the right one. I’ve put together some essential ‘must knows’ about us. It goes without saying that I could go on all day here – I promise I won’t. However, if you have any questions, please do give us a call, email, DM or drop by and have a word with one of the team about anything you’d like to know.

We established Agent back in 2006 - it feels like yesterday, and what a journey it has been! In 2026, we have celebrated our 20th anniversary whilst also achieving our biggest year to date. With that momentum behind us, the future has never looked brighter.

We’re a full-service marketing agency. In a nutshell, this means that we deliver a completely integrated offering for our clients – from strategy and creative right through to digital and communications. Our clients are based all over the UK, across a whole range of different sectors and industries; clean growth, tech for good, transport, placemaking etc. We’re in business for good and they are too. We help them share the great stuff they’re doing, whilst encouraging and supporting them to grow their businesses and make an even bigger impact.

We’re a growing agency, and we’re doing our best to do it the right way – sensibly, responsibly and sustainably. We’re very proud to be a B Corp. Our certification reflects our long-standing commitment to the brilliant people around us, the communities we’re part of, and of course, our planet. If we can inspire a few others along the way, even better.

Last count, there are nearly 35 of us in our growing team; strategists, designers, animators, programmers, digital marketers – the lot. We reckon there’ll be about 40 of us by early 2027. We’re a close-knit, passionate bunch that love working together and supporting each other; bringing our individual skills and talents together to create brilliant work that works is what we do best.

Talking about our incredible team...

We want talented, passionate, and committed people to join us, who want to play an active role in what our growth journey looks and feels like (and have a whole load of fun along the way). We want our team to grow with us so that we all do well together. This role, as a junior graphic designer, is an important one in helping us achieve our wider growth ambitions as well as delivering even more Powerfully Good Work for our brilliant clients.

We’re proudly based in the North West and our teams work across our studios in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle and Manchester’s Portland Street. However, we certainly aren’t just limited to the region – our work takes us all over the UK.

Our culture is at the heart of everything we do. It’s incredibly important to us that we shape a workplace where inclusion, support and compassion are second nature. Our values really matter to us; challenge, positivity, and kindness. We’ve shaped them together because they guide how we all behave and work together with our clients and partners. These commitments have earned us a place on The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list not once, but twice. Are we aiming for a third? You can count on it.

We want to work with team members who, like us, really care about doing a great job and making a difference to other people’s lives, the places we call home and, of course, our planet. Our work and the way we work can really make a difference. If this isn’t you, probably best turning back now.

We want to use our business for good and make positive change, which is why we launched our brilliant not-for-profit Agent Academy, to help train and connect the generation of talent into the creative and digital sectors. We’ve helped hundreds of young people get their foot in the door and we’ve got big aspirations to do even more this year. This year Agent Academy turned 12 years old – to say we’re proud of the economic and social impact it has made is an understatement!

Equity, diversity, and inclusion are at the core of everything that we do. We’re not perfect but we know that if we keep listening, learning, and investing we’ll only get better and make more of a difference. We want our agency to continue to be a place where everyone is welcomed, celebrated, and rewarded regardless of race, identity, the postcode we live in, our accents or anything else for that matter; a safe workplace where everyone does well.

We’ve got big growth plans for the future of Agent; they really are exciting. To achieve our dreams, we must have the right people with us to make them happen. If you’re up for it, so are we.

That’s it from me for now. The all-important job information follows next. We know that a job description never truly tells the full story of what’s involved in a role. So, if you’re interested you can certainly speak (in confidence and with no duty to then apply) to one of the team who you’ll be likely working with. They can give you the full lowdown on the role and the inside track on Agent – easy, eh?

If you do apply, all the very best of luck – remember we want to hear from you – not an Ai robot – human crafted CV’s and letters of interest only, please! Thanks so much for looking at this opportunity!

Paul

CEO
Agent

We’re seeking a dynamic, imaginative and results-driven content & communications executive. Does this sound like you?

About the role…

•        Work within the communications team alongside the wider Agent team to deliver Agent’s key objective of making powerfully good work!
•        Content creation - You’ll be tasked with coming up with social media content that really grabs attention and creates impact and posting across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Tik Tok – just to name a few!
•        Idea generation - as standard, our work needs to stand out from the crowd. It’ll be your job to ensure this happens every time with every single post! Bringing new ideas to the table around how we deliver our content will be key to this role.
•        Research - You’ll know all the latest trends across the industry so we can keep refreshing our content, ensuring it’s fresh, dynamic, creates impact and most of all delivers above and beyond what our clients expect.
•        Communications planning - You love nothing more than being involved with translating a client brief into a real-life communications plan. You’re more than comfortable with everything from planning through to execution, tweaking, monitoring and evaluation.
•        Copywriting - Create high-quality, well-researched, and engaging copy for a multiple range of channels such as websites, blog posts, social media platforms, brochures, and other marketing materials.
•        Attention to detail - Edit and proofread a variety of content to ensure clarity, grammar accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines.

You’ll need to…

•        Have at least one year of experience in a communications or content creation role or equivalent.
•        Have a strong set of values.

•        Demonstrate a passion for generating the right attention online, for the right reasons, and most importantly – keeping it there.
•        Have the ability to think big; you start every challenge with ‘what if?’, you aren’t afraid of coming up with the craziest of ideas and you love presenting concepts.
•        Be the proud owner of a super inquisitive mind, keen to get out there and generate stand out content. You’ll always have your eye on the next piece of content; no story opportunity will pass you by.
•        The ability to be a natural self-starter; you just want to get going, you’re really driven to do well and are ambitious to make every bit of work better than the last.
•        Be able to work alone or as part of wider multidisciplinary teams; and always keen to receive feedback and guidance.
•        The ability to work under pressure to deadlines, whilst maintaining an immaculate attention to detail and quality standard.
•        Have a real love for writing; whether it’s copy for socials or digital adverts (just to name a few). You know how to use voice and tone correctly and write for impact.
•        Be a details person – you must get things right! Just OK is not OK for you. You can easily spot a rogue comma or a misplaced apostrophe – nothing gets past you!

We’re a people-led business and it's important to us that we look after and support our growing team. We do this by offering benefits including:

•        Salary of up to £30K based on previous experience

This role is studio-based.

If you’re interested in applying, please share an original CV and covering letter detailing why you are interested in this role to jeanette@agentmarketing.co.uk or call 0151 707 0427 / 0161 523 4930 by Monday 7th September, 2026.

We know that the Ai world is exciting – we absolutely get it. However, what isn’t as thrilling is an Ai generated CV and cover letter. They are, quite frankly, dull. We get them all the time, and they never ever stand out. What does stand out is imagination, creativity, human thought – please do use these tools if do choose to apply for this important role. We’re looking for talented people – not robots.
