Strategy and Planning


We love a good plan and so do our clients.
 
At Agent Marketing, the majority of our clients join us to develop comprehensive marketing strategy and communications plans. In a nutshell, a strategy says where you are now and tells you how to get to where you want and need to be. Plus, we only ever use evidence to make our suggestions, it keeps us out of trouble when the creative part of our brains takes over. Sounds like simple stuff and it is really – when you know the formula.
 
So what does a strategy do?
 
Thanks for asking. Without boring you half to death so that you click off, a strategy:
 
  • Breaks down your services simply and concisely, showing where you add real value, helping you sell your offerings better.
  • Identifies who you should be selling to i.e. your target markets. Where are they located? What do they do? What is their profile? Once we know who we are trying to attract we can speak with them in the way they want to be communicated with.
  • Says who else is in the market (yikes!), what they offer and how they offer it – we often go undercover during this bit to find out exactly what you need to know. Once you have the market information, you can then do something about it, until then you are wandering about aimlessly – don’t.
  • Documents your key messages and unique selling points – what should you be saying about your businesses? What do people want and need to hear to buy off you? You would be surprised the mixed messages companies send out – working with Agent Marketing stops this right away. No mixed messages here thank you very much.
  • Gives you a step by step, inch by inch plan for getting your message out there using the wonderful marketing communications mix. Whether it be public relations activities, web promotion or direct marketing, we will plot (with you) a timed marketing plan, with roles and responsibilities assigned – oh and not to forget with budgets (realistic ones!)
