Our difference
In the old days (and the new)…
Remember when we told you how, in the early days we spent a lot of time planning and recording what kind of company we wanted Agent Marketing to be. You do? Good. Well during that time, and in the days before the term ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ (a posh set of words for doing your bit) was bandied about like it was going out of business, we decided Agent was going to go the extra mile - and so we did, and still do for the record.
Hardly tree-hugging, more good business sense…
It makes good business sense to look at your supply chain and at the ways in which you run your business. In fact, it’s quite amazing what you can find out; cost savings, better ways of working, better people to work with – the list goes on. And because we make our clients analyse their supply chains, their recycling policies and procedures and what they do for good causes, we of course do the same. And so, all members of the Agent Marketing team use public transport (buses, trains, car-shares), we recycle (paper, glass, plastics) and we support those who would normally not be able to afford our services*.
Here comes that fuzzy feeling…
It is the best of all of the feelings. And here’s how we get it by supporting the following organisations and initiatives (click on the titles to visit their sites, and perhaps do your bit):
Paul Corcoran is a Princes Trust mentor and is currently supporting 3 young business start ups
Paul Corcoran is on the steering committee for the ‘School of Social Entrepreneurs’ based at Blackburne House, which helps mentor and support businesses that benefit their wider communities.
Wayne Malcolm is a panel member for North Liverpool Sirolli ‘Enable’, giving advice and guidance to new and existing businesses in the area.
Because we believe in the power of enterprise and how entrepreneurs are going to help the city grow and flourish, Agent donates time and effort to run enterprise workshops and seminars for Business in the Community. Not formulaic or academic in the slightest– just giving the truth about the best (and worst) ways to set up a business, all of which is based on evidence of course. As a result, they go down a storm.
Paul Corcoran is a Common Purpose (Merseyside) Graduate and sits on the Advisory Board, helping to design and promote the courses aimed at inspiring the city’s next generation of leaders.
Jayne is an executive board member of Sunflowers (Liverpool Cancer Support Centre) in Aigburth which helps cancer patients and their families come to terms with their illnesses.
*which is no reflection on our prices, mind you.
