Green me.
I think its a telling time, when after nearly 8 years of living in the city centre, the time arrives when you decide to venture to pastures new, and well, green ones at that. Yes, I am officially getting old.
I think I am heading to the suburbs - Aigburth/Allerton, to be precise. Good lord, what has happened to me, the Urbanite? I have loved being in the city centre; no taxis home after a night out, being close to work (23 seconds away to be precise), not to mention to the freedom of being able to nip to a local restaurant if a night slaving over a hot stove doesn't take your fancy - living in town does have its benefits. A change is a coming people...
And those changes are as follows, here comes the wish list...
- 2 bedrooms rather than one. People need their own room when they come to stay these days. It's a grown up thing.
- A garden for the summer. Picnics in the park are all very well and good, but sometimes you just want to eat a bacon butty in the garden. Plus I want to start gardening again (I am nearly 30, you see) and I am quite the dab hand with a hanging basket.
- More light. My herbs die in their current dark position.
- A separate kitchen. Living space/cooking space is all very nice but sometimes you want to hide the fact that you haven't washed the dishes. Doors work.
First up comes my trip to India at the end of this month, and then the big move will commence. Of course, I will be having a party - taxi's not required.
