The gift that keeps on tweeting...

Without sounding too big-headed, I am a good gift buyer, a talent which has resulted in me becoming head of gift-procurement at Agent HQ. Whether it be for an Agent's birthday, a thank you gift for a client, or just a prize for our weekly Friday quiz (the subject of my next blog), I am on hand with only the company credit card to support me.  

This week however I have been presented with a challenge that even my retail skills could not satisfy. The receiver of this birthday gift? My friend Jeanette's mum, Ange. 

Now here are the facts:

- Ange is 60 years old this week (and is looking very good for it, may I add). 
- Ange is a lover of all things camp, and I mean camp. 
- Ange is a BIG pop music fan and when I say BIG (and the capital letters should emphasise this), I mean BIG. 
- Ange loves celebrities and everything about celebrities; what they do, and most importantly, where they go - but that my friends, is another story for another day (and blog). 

So, what do you buy a camp 60 year old lady with a passion for all things celebrity? Well apart from a cake adorned with celebrity imagery, I was at a loss as to what to buy. And then Wayne, the fountain of all knowledge came to save the day. 

The gift of Twitter. 

Yes, that is what I intend to do; build Ange a Twitter profile made up of all her favourite celebrities, so she can follow their every move. So when Elton nips out for a pint of milk, Ange will know. When Andrew Lloyd Webber decides to star in a new BBC reality show, Ange will know. Even Cher's (I did say she loved the camp) shopping basket contents will become knowledge for Ange. What an idea, and not a piece of wrapping paper willm be spared in the process - environmental advantages as well! Back of the net!
