I’m afraid that we innocent Agents have experienced a terrible bout of illness and accidents as of late. Following Paul’s traumatic Green Fly incident yesterday, Agent Adam (the brave), has faced a terrible ordeal today.

 

Getting out of bed, Adam proceeded to get ready for work as he would have any other day. On the train, the time passed with the Fleet Foxes and a cup of coffee as it would have any other day. On the short walk over to Agent HQ, Adam smiles at passerby’s, bringing cheer into their lives. It could have been like any other day. If only...

 

Around mid-morning Adam began to feel a tingling sensation in his neck, faint at first, but over time the tingling turned into a fully fledged mind-numbing sting. Adam slowly manoeuvred his hand to inspect the spot of blistering pain and felt what he had feared. A big, red, pulsating, BOIL!

 

Despite the immediate panic and shrieking, Agents (Doctors) Paul, Clare and Emma sprang into action,  with the Workplace First Aid Kit at hand. The sight could have brought a grown man to tears. Pain etched across the poor lad’s face, praying for relief. But not to fear, Agents to the rescue!

Gloves. Antibacterial wipe. Plasters. After carefully delivering Adam (by wheely chair) to a comfortable operating table (couch), surgery began.

 

After a long and arduous five minutes of surgery, Adam had finally found the sweet relief he was looking for. With tears of pure happiness falling like raindrops from his eyes, Adam dropped to his knees and thanked the Doctors for their handiwork. Some would say that three heroes were born this afternoon, but we, we would say we’re only doing our jobs.
